The 25th International Congress of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (WorldLab) and 25th European Congress of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (EuroMedLab) is being hosted by the Italian Society of Clinical Biochemistry and Clinical Molecular Biology (SIBioC), on the occasion of their 55th Annual congress. EuroMedLab-WorldLab 2023 is the largest international gathering of laboratory professionals and scientists from across the globe, that is being hosted in the innovative and futuristic convention center “The Cloud”, in the heart of Rome from May 21st to 25th, 2023. The biannual EuroMedLab Congresses remain the leading forums in the field of laboratory medicine and clinical chemistry, bringing together scientists, laboratory specialists, clinicians, and industry colleagues to allow for scientific exchange and advancement.

At the 2023 EuroMedLab Congress, attendees can experience an outstanding scientific program featuring innovative and diverse educational opportunities that incorporate the best of clinical laboratory medicine and in vitro diagnostics, including lectures, symposia, recent advancements in clinical practice and science, poster presentations, and high-level educational workshops. There is particular focus on scientific and technological advancements, as the main objective of the meeting is to connect the latest breakthroughs in diagnostic laboratory technology with the best minds in laboratory medicine in order to help the attendees learn and implement the latest in clinical laboratory science, technology, and medicine.

This year, the congress is adopting a combined approach of both physical and virtual interactions. The Scientific Program Committee has created a multidisciplinary program covering a wide range of key themes such as basic concepts, advanced diagnostics, and techniques employed in laboratory medicine. Distinguished international speakers and key opinion leaders are delivering presentations in health care, on recent diagnostic technologies, scientific advances, and challenges. Attendees can avail the opportunity to interact with distinguished experts from around the world.

The 2023 EuroMedLab Congress provides an opportunity to hold discussion on today’s relevant topics like precision medicine, applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning, biomarker discovery, and diagnostic advancements, among others. Experts from Europe and across the world are gathering at the show to enable scientific exchange to ensure that the field of clinical chemistry and laboratory medicine remain at the cutting edge. A record number of scientific abstracts (>2100) have been submitted by scientists and laboratory professionals from across the world for presentation, and a record number of corporate members and non-members have made applications for participating in the industry exhibition, indicating that the Roma 2023 will be the best attended and most successful EuroMedLab event ever held.
