Diatron (Budapest, Hungary), a global provider of hematology and clinical chemistry analyzers, displayed its newly developed Aquila 3-part differential hematology analyzer at the 69th AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo, the world’s largest exposition for clinical laboratory products and services.

Diatron develops, manufactures, and markets hematology and clinical chemistry analyzers, and associated reagents for human medical and veterinary use. The company was among over 750 exhibitors who displayed pioneering diagnostic technology, including the latest in mobile health, molecular diagnostics, mass spectrometry, point-of-care, and automation at the 2017 AACC Clinical Lab Expo held at the San Diego Convention Center from August 1-3.

Diatron’s new Aquila 3-part differential hematology analyzer (60 samples/hour throughput) has low reagent consumption (<12ml), requires only a small sample size (20ul) and has an on-board reagent pack (sufficient for approximately 200 measurements). Specifically designed for the de-centralized laboratory, the analyzer’s small footprint requires little bench space, allowing it to be used in several locations, including small laboratories as well as point-of-care applications. The analyzer features a large touch screen, an intuitive user interface, an optional back-up battery pack and extended connectivity options.
