CerTest Biotec (Zaragoza, Spain) is ending the 2024 exhibition calendar with its participation in this year’s MEDICA. With more than 5,300 exhibitors from almost 70 different countries, MEDICA is one of the largest medical B2B exhibitions in the world. CerTest is presenting again at MEDICA this year, highlighting the different medical diagnostic technologies it has developed to over 83,000 visitors expected at the event. At MEDICA 2024, Certest is showcasing the V-Flex system that is part of its VIASURE Complete Solution designed to achieve a better molecular diagnostic workflow. The VIASURE V-FLEX system is a new fully automated solution in molecular biology for nucleic acid extraction, purification, and PCR set-up from biological matrix and samples. The instrument has been designed with flexible configurations to meet different user needs.

Visitors to the Certest booth can also learn about the VIASURE DNA/RNA pathogen extraction kit designed to extract from various biological samples: swabs, saliva, sputum, bronchoalveolar lavages, fecal and urine samples. The kit is based on magnetic particles, which allows its automation for high throughput analysis, reducing hands-on time and improving reproducibility. The extraction kit is currently optimized for two types of magnetic separation methods: VIASURE V-Flex and KingFisher Flex. Certest is also demonstrating the VIASURE V-Smart software that allows the analysis and interpretation of the VIASURE Real-Time PCR assays. VIASURE V-Smart facilitates the conversion of the PCR raw data into test results with minimal manual intervention.
