Bioneer Corp. (Daejeon, Korea) is demonstrating its state-of-the-art molecular biology products and technologies at the 2022 edition of MEDICA, the world's largest trade fair for medical technology, being held from 14 to 17 November in Düsseldorf, Germany.
At MEDICA 2022, Bioneer is showcasing the AccuLoader which guides users to load samples into the correct wells of a multi-well plate by scanning each sample barcode and automatically moving the dispensing hole to the correct well. Loading conditions and sample information are easily managed using the included tablet and dedicated AccuLoader application. In addition, users can quickly pool a large number of samples without human error using the pool sample setting, and the sample shield and filter prevent cross-contamination while samples are being loaded. Bioneer is also highlighting the ExiPrep 96 Lite automated nucleic acid extractor with high capacity which has built-in protocols optimized for various kit applications for the extraction of nucleic acid. ExiPrep 96 Lite can extract viral RNA in 30 minutes with the Protonion Viral RNA Kit, which does not contain EtOH to prevent PCR inhibition and rapid extraction speed.
Alongside the ExiPrep 96 Lite, Bioneer is showcasing the ExiStation series of automated molecular diagnostic system composed of the ExiPrep 16 Dx nucleic acid extractor and Exicycler 96 Real-Time PCR. The system configuration is flexible and can connect up to three ExiPrep 16 Dx. The ExiStation 48 is composed of ExiPrep 48Dx nucleic acid extractor and the Exicycler 96 Real-Time PCR. The ExiStation series of automated molecular diagnostic system has been developed with Bioneer’s patented technologies and are adjustable to lab conditions. The ExiStation series are optimized for vacuum-dried premix kits and adapted with four-layer contamination protection for constant test accuracy.
At MEDICA 2022, Bioneer is highlighting its new IRON-qPCR near-patient POC molecular diagnostic system which is fully automated and requires the user to just put the sample in to get the data out. The assays are done within 30 minutes and are suitable for near-patient diagnosis. The IRON-qPCR is also a two-cartridge type instrument with user-friendly operation steps using the touch screen, and can handle up to 40 pathogens at once for syndrome diagnosis. Visitors to Bioneer’s booth at MEDICA 2022 can experience the ExiStation FA 96/384 fully automated molecular diagnostic system that is capable of automated de-capping and capping primary sample tubes inside the system. It does not require negative-pressure facility such as BSC and helps generate consistent results without human error. Visitors can also experience the LH 384 fully automated liquid handler that transfers extracted nucleic acid to PCR preparation. It transfers extracted nucleic acid from 96 well plates to a 96/384 well plate or tubes. With Bioneer’s premix cartridges, user can easily prepare samples for PCR by simply sealing the PCR plate or tubes.
