一颗小巧的微流控芯片日前开发成功,它集成了阻抗生物传感器,可实现蛋白质的预浓缩与检测。
 
这项新技术能检测早期癌症患者血流内的肿瘤标志物。再者,综合医院的癌症筛查通常需要至少一天时间来检验不同的体内物质,而这款芯片只需五微升血液或尿液。
 
台湾嘉义的国立中正大学(www.ccu.edu.tw)的科学家研制了一种低成本、体积小的生物芯片,用于检测蛋白质。自组装的金纳米粒子在连接间隙处形成纳米断裂,当微通道里出现电渗流时,可利用其做离子富集和离子消耗,开辟一个俘获区。
 
阻抗测量模块基于锁相放大器技术测量金电极上抗体生长期间阻抗的变化,它是由检测区俘获的蛋白质引起。阻抗测量结果证实有蛋白质被俘获。蛋白出现之前和之后,检测区在10–100 kHz频率范围内测得可辨别的阻抗数据,确证了所考查系统的性能。芯片的工作电压不高,36伏左右,这样它能用通用电池或市电分析样本。
 
该研究的论文首发于2018年的《生物微流控学》杂志。领衔作者Chun-Ping Jen博士说:“癌症患者体内有特异的蛋白质,也就是所谓的肿瘤标志物。然而,通常直到癌症的中晚期这些蛋白质聚积到高浓度时才能检测到它们。这款芯片的研发历时五年,将被装入一台手持式医疗设备,还可用于检测其它疾病。
