美国国家卫生研究所(NIH)最近拨给Corgenix公司和VHFC一笔290万美元的经费,为期三年,以资助埃博拉快速诊断检验试剂盒的研制工作。Corgenix公司和VHFC已经开发出针对拉沙热病毒的ReLASV快速诊断检验, 且已获得CE标志。
现在西非爆发的埃博拉创下最大规模的纪录。辛普森先生说,将来必定需要护理点(POC)检验来快速鉴定和治疗病毒性出血热,包括拉沙热、埃博拉和马尔堡病。
Corgenix公司还宣读了一份口述摘要,题为“疑似拉沙热病例的预后:与塞拉利昂非发热人群之比较”。拉沙热与疟疾等其它疾病很难区分,该研究的目的是更好地识别和治疗拉沙热患者。Corgenix公司的法规与临床事务专家Bethany Belote宣读了研究结果,研究论文将发表于10月号的《临床化学》(Clinical Chemistry)杂志。
