澳大利亚墨尔本的Atomo诊断公司继在墨尔本举行的第20届国际艾滋病大会上成功亮相后,又在2014 AACC年会暨临床化验博览会上展出了一款一体化快速验血设备,面向美国市场。AtomoRapid全合一血液检验兼容多种病症的检测试纸,包括乳糜泻、过敏以及疟疾和人类免疫缺陷病毒(HIV)等传染病。
用该设备能在现场或家里进行更简单、更安全和更准确的检验,从而产生更好的临床结果。

澳大利亚政府计划放松对家庭HIV检验的限制,AtomoRapid HIV对于支持这一计划可能发挥重要作用。新南威尔士大学科尔比研究所最新的年度HIV监测报告称, 澳大利亚约30%的HIV患者被诊断出来时已过了本应开始治疗以恢复受损免疫系统的最佳时机。
John Kelly补充说:“我们与南非戴斯蒙•图图HIV基金会的合作研究表明,家庭检验如果要被接受,需要有能减少检验差错的一体化的直观解决方案。”Kelly的女儿得了一种儿童病,需要接受常规抽血做诊断检验,Kelly受此启发,发现了一种更好的验血方法。
AtomoRapid简便易用,因而能够实质性提高社区和家庭检验的可接受度和可靠性。该公司目前正计划在澳大利亚、美国和欧洲发布该产品的专业版和家用版。
