Sysmex Corporation (Kobe, Japan) is presenting its broad range of medical diagnostics products and solutions in the fields of hematology, urinalysis, haemostasis and flow cytometry at Medlab Middle East 2023.

At Medlab Middle East 2023, taking place 6-9 February in Dubai, Sysmex is showcasing the BloodScience Workcell which smartly combines hematology and haemostasis testing in one interdisciplinary solution – to support physicians in obtaining a more holistic picture of their patients and to improve the workflow in the laboratory. Sysmex’s novel laboratory automation concept consolidates the workflow automation of EDTA and citrate blood sample tubes by combining haematology’s XN-9100 with the new CN track for haemostasis. Both automation lines are physically connected through the tube sorter TS-10 while the capabilities of the Extended IPU facilitate a standardized work area management for hematology and haemostasis. One user can operate this automation platform that harmonizes high workload capacities for citrate and EDTA blood specimens. A safe and completely closed tube system with cap piercing functionality, it effectively reduces the biohazard risk.

Sysmex is also highlighting its modular, integrated clinical flow cytometry system that helps labs efficiently manage sample and data flow, covering the steps from sample preparation through to analysis and reporting. For instance, the programmable PS-10 from Sysmex automates sample preparation steps to match SOPs, adding increased efficiency and standardization for complex and routine flow cytometry applications. The Hettich Rotolavit II-S cell wash centrifuge automatically carries out the routine washing steps when preparing samples for flow cytometry while the award-winning Silent Design of the XN-Series set the standard for the development of this 10-colour flow cytometer for highest-level clinical requirements.

Sysmex is also presenting its urinalysis solutions that can support the diagnosis of common diseases such as urinary tract infections, kidney diseases and others. This includes the UN-Series that can automate the lab’s urinalysis work area according to workflow preferences. With modular components to mix and match, labs can tailor a complete solution that is scalable to their current and future needs, providing a perfect fit while securing your investment. While the UN-Series can cover the complete urinalysis workflow it offers labs maximum flexibility in setting up their desired workflow. Because of its modularity, labs can configure their solution to cover only the parts they require. Whatever the selection, there will be no more hands-on urinalysis as the whole process is automated, and labs get all the results on one screen, with all data centralized in one workstation.
