A new line of mechanical pipettes offers biotech, life science, and clinical lab technicians a precision laboratory tool with a high degree of accuracy and reliability that is also safe, comfortable, and easy to use.
Sartorius Stedim Biotech (Goettingen, Germany) has announced the launch of its new Tacta line of mechanical pipettes. These precision laboratory tools are available in a range of volumes from 0.1 microliters to 10 milliliters in single channel models, and from 0.5 to 300 microliters in multichannel models.
The new line of pipettes incorporates the Sartorius Optilock system, which provides flexible volume adjustment and locking functionalities, and prevents accidental volume changes during pipetting. Tacta pipettes have large, clear four-digit displays, which makes the volume easy to read even when the pipette is being held at an angle. In addition, the Tacta pipettes are easy to adjust for a variety of liquids, using a simple adjustment key.
Tacta pipettes are particularly quick and easy to clean, as they have only three parts to disassemble and require no tools. They can be autoclaved without disassembly and are highly resistant to exposure to UV radiation and chemicals. Additionally, Sartorius' Safe-Cone Filters are available for all Tacta models with volumes of more than 10 microliters, which offers a cost-effective method to reduce contamination. The unique Safe-Cone Filter ejector enables easy removal of used or contaminated filters without human contact.
