A global provider of hematology and clinical chemistry analyzers will display its new economic walkaway clinical chemistry analyzer at the 2015 annual meeting of the American Association of Clinical Chemistry (AACC; Washington DC, USA) in Atlanta (GA, USA) during July 28–30, 2015, in booth 2100.

The Pictus P500 by the the Diatron Group (Budapest, Hungary) is a new medium throughput system capable of 215 tests per hour on a typical sample mix is ergonomically designed and user-friendly with a high level of automation that delivers quality results. Its advanced, windows-based software and smart architecture means the P500 is able to offer many features on an accessible platform. These include uninterrupted workflow, enhanced walk-away operation and remote access diagnostics, all of which have only been available on more expensive clinical chemistry systems until now.

The P500 is also user-friendly with well-structured, easy-to-service design and “one window” software featuring an easy-to-use icon interface menu and inventory management. The minimal usage of consumables and low water consumption translate to cost-effectiveness, and the P500’s proven, high quality components ensure the quality results. There is also an optional ISE module available which significantly increases the throughput to over 450 tests/hour.
