AI-Enabled Assistant Unifies Molecular Workflow Planning and Support

Clinical laboratories and research groups face increasingly complex molecular workflows and expanding technical documentation spread across multiple systems. Fragmented digital tools can slow experiment planning, product selection, and post-purchase support, adding friction to time-sensitive work. A new AI-enabled platform now brings these functions together in a single conversational interface.

QIAGEN (Venlo, Netherlands) has introduced QIA Agent, an AI-powered digital assistant designed to help users plan experiments, identify suitable products, access technical information, and manage ordering through a single interface. The platform can be used with or without logging in, enabling immediate access while offering a more personalized experience for signed-in users, including individual pricing, order history, and account-specific details. QIA Agent builds on QIAGEN’s established digital customer base, which includes more than 260,000 registered “My QIAGEN” users.

QIA Agent functions as a natural-language interface that connects product information, protocols, technical documentation, and support resources to streamline decision-making. It links directly to existing digital services—including the Experiment Configurator, Order Status Checker, Product Availability Checker, and Help Center—creating continuity from experimental design through post-purchase support. Users can check availability, track orders, and retrieve relevant guidance without moving across multiple systems, with the goal of saving time and improving productivity.

The platform is publicly accessible to customers worldwide via QIAGEN’s website. It is currently intended for research use and is not designed for diagnostic applications. By embedding AI-driven guidance into the customer experience, the system aims to reduce time spent searching across disparate tools and to connect users more quickly to relevant information within Sample to Insight workflows.

“Researchers today are navigating growing scientific complexity, increasing volumes of data and expanding workflow choices,” said Nitin Sood, Senior Vice President and Head of Product Portfolio & Innovation at QIAGEN. “QIA Agent is designed to simplify how researchers interact with scientific information, workflow guidance and operational support through a single AI-powered experience. By embedding conversational AI into our digital ecosystem, we aim to help customers move faster from questions to decisions across Sample to Insight workflows.”
