Point-of-Care PGx Test Enables Rapid Appropriate Antiplatelet Prescription for Stroke Patients

Clopidogrel is an antiplatelet treatment for secondary prevention of minor strokes and transient ischemic attack (TIA), also known as a mini-stroke. CYP2C19 intermediate and poor metabolizers who receive clopidogrel experience reduced platelet inhibition and increased risk for major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events.
