Partnership Expands Ultrasensitive Blood-Based Diagnostics for Hematologic Malignancies
Posted on 16 Jun 2026
Predicta Biosciences (Cambridge, MA, USA) and CIMA LAB Diagnostics at Clínica Universidad de Navarra (Pamplona, Spain) have entered an agreement to provide a joint service that combines CIMA LAB’s flow cytometry capabilities with Predicta’s GenoPredicta assay. The offering will be available to academic institutions and biopharma across Spain and the European Union. The partnership is intended to broaden access to ultrasensitive, blood-based testing for multiple myeloma and additional hematologic malignancies.
Flow cytometry plays a key role in the differential diagnosis, prognostic classification, and monitoring of minimal residual disease across a range of hematologic malignancies. Within the combined service, the GenoPredicta assay can detect and quantify rare tumor clones while characterizing their genomes at the single-cell level. Together, these capabilities are designed to enhance disease assessment and monitoring in both laboratory and translational research settings.

An update on the GenoPredicta platform will be presented by Dr. Bruno Paiva at the European Hematology Association 2026 Congress (June 11–14; Stockholm, Sweden, and virtual). The abstract (PF787), titled “Whole Genome Sequencing of Multiple Myeloma Cells with a Novel Clinical Assay Uncovers Diversity of Genetic Alterations Underlying Immunotherapy Resistance,” underscores the platform’s application to single‑cell genomic analysis in multiple myeloma.
“We are honored and very excited to partner with Predicta Biosciences. The GenoPredicta assay is the optimal solution for a missing element in our quest for innovation and improved diagnosis and monitoring of patients with blood cancer. With this partnership, not only can we detect and quantify rare tumor clones, but also characterize their genome at the single-cell level. This is a novel and extremely powerful tool for precision medicine across different types of blood cancer,” said Bruno Paiva, lead, Flow Cytometry Unit, CIMA LAB Diagnostics.
“This partnership with CIMA LAB Diagnostics will accelerate and expand the availability of our GenoPredicta platform for EU partners. Dr. Paiva has been an outstanding collaborator, and we are excited about what this relationship with CIMA LAB Diagnostics will bring to the future of blood cancer diagnostics,” said Brian McKernan, CEO, Predicta Biosciences.
