The BioStack 4 can handle 24- to 1,536-well lidded and low-volume microplates. Individual throughput needs are met by interchangeable 10-, 30-, or 50-plate stacking attachments. The instrument boasts an exceptionally small footprint that conserves valuable space on the benchtop and which may be housed within a biohazard hood.
The BioStack 4 is directly controlled through the built-in "Liquid Handling Control" software, or "Gen5 Data Analysis Software." An optional barcode scanner increases workflow efficiency while limiting potential user errors.
