A data management system links analyzers and laboratory information systems (LIS) through a single workstation, providing technicians with a comprehensive real-time view of the clinical laboratory testing lifecycle.

The Remisol Advance system was designed to improve laboratory turnaround times and productivity and reduce medical errors. It manages the laboratory process from the initial test request, through verification and release of results, to the LIS.

The improved user interface features workflow enhancements and better usability. Utilizing the new Wide Area Networking (WAN) and Local Area Networking (LAN) configurations, it simplifies and streamlines workflow, enabling technicians to program and review test requests for all interfaced instruments.

Released by Beckman Coulter (Brea, CA, USA), the Remisol Advance v1.4 improves on existing features of the single-screen view--now providing automated STAT notifications and alerts regarding critical patient results. This minimizes processing delays and speeds up delivery of critical sample results to clinicians.

Autoverification allows tests with normal results to be released to the LIS so laboratory staff can focus on priority patient samples. In the case of critical or life-threatening results, technicians are immediately notified and provided with instructions on the next steps required to eliminate delays and reduce turnaround times.

The new system is capable of managing Beckman Coulter instruments, including automation, chemistry, special chemistry; i class integrated systems, immunoassay, hematology, and hemostasis platforms.

A Comprehensive Service package is available that starts with implementation and offers coverage throughout the lifetime of Remisol Advance.
