Three new upright clinical and research microscopes have easy-to-use and accurate ergonomic and imaging features.

The BX3 series microscopes allow users to record and share magnification and setting information automatically for comparing, measuring, and scaling images. An exposure button makes it possible for scientists to capture digital images without taking their hands off the microscope. A tilting trinocular observation tube provides comfortable, efficient operation when capturing photomicrographs.

Designed for efficiency and comfort in clinical applications, the performance and value of the BX43 and BX46 microscopes are enhanced by a bright light-emitting diode (LED) lamp that offers halogen-like color fidelity, uses less energy, and lasts approximately 20,000 hours. A light intensity manager eliminates the need to make manual adjustments when changing magnifications. Users can select either left- or right-handed microscope operation.

The BX53 system microscope designed for both clinical and research applications, offers new fluorescence optics and filters, including improved hard-coating technology and a fly's eye array that delivers higher-quality images by providing more even illumination. It offers a motion sensor that detects when the user steps away from the instrument, automatically turning off the lamp after approximately 30 minutes.

Olympus America Corp. (Center Valley, PA, USA) launched the BX3 line of three upright microscopes. All systems employ the company's UIS2 optics, which are manufactured from lead-free glass, and deliver ultra-sharp, bright images.

Olympus America scientific equipment group provides microscope imaging solutions for clinicians, doctors, researchers, and educators.
