The new 5.0 version of the EasyLink offers a scalable informatics option for all sizes and types of clinical laboratories. The web-based QC package allows users to take advantage of real-time access to data for troubleshooting or external analysis, and to manage compliance and QC across multiple systems or sites. It also offers audit trails and real-time remote access to patient data for multiple users at multiple sites. Siemens Healthcare (Deerfield, IL, USA) launched the new 5.0 version of EasyLink, which supports multiple languages and has reports and data exports in formats compatible with third-party vendors. By connecting multiple systems with one informatics product, the cost of ownership can be reduced through networking and data consolidation. Users also benefit from multiple users in different locations across a network having the ability to remotely access data through a computer.

The enhanced EasyLink Informatics product supports all Dimension integrated systems, ADVIA chemistry and immunoassay systems, Immulite immunoassay systems, and the Sysmex hemostasis systems, all sold by Siemens.
