A recent software version makes it easier to control pipetting and scheduling operations of liquid handling platforms.

The software, called EVOware 2.2, maintains the graphical user interface, offers greater flexibility, and ensures full compatibility with the latest hardware modules--all without compromising on operating speed and process security.
Freedom EVOware 2.2 extends the wide range of pipetting options by supporting the new 384-MultiChannel Arm (MCA384). This allows pipetting using 384 or 96 tips, as well as pipetting just a single row or column of wells. Nested disposable tips with increased flexibility will soon be available for the MCA, and the software already supports nested tips stored either in passive stacks on the worktable or in external Te-Stack modules to maximize walk-away time.

Tecan (Männedorf, Switzerland), a global supplier of diagnostic instruments and solutions, has introduced the latest version of Freedom EVOware to allow the user more power in terms of both process security and storage. Process security has been enhanced by extending recovery protocols to work within worklists and system add-ons. Data management is improved by enabling scripts and processes to be stored in user-defined folders. A script navigator speeds up accessing any section of short or long scripts.

Tecan is a supplier of automated laboratory storage and logistics systems. The company's clients include diagnostic laboratories and companies, pharmaceutical and biotech companies, university research departments, as well as forensic laboratories.
