The Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (New York, NY, USA) has licensed the Geneva Bioinformatics' (GeneBio; Geneva, Switzerland) PhenyxServer protein identification and characterization software.

The software will be used by Dr. Paul Tempst's team, a one of five Clinical Proteomic Technology Assessment for Cancer (CPTAC) teams, a collaborative network established by the U.S. National Cancer Institute (NCI; Bethesda, MD, USA) whose goal is to enable all investigators at different laboratories to effectively use proteomic technologies and methodologies to directly compare and analyze their work.

Phenyx is specifically designed to meet the concurrent demands of high-throughput mass spectroscopy (MS) data analysis and dynamic results assessment while offering a flexible user experience and an adaptable architecture to help instill confidence in results assessment.

Geneva Bioinformatics (GeneBio) SA is a bioinformatics company providing the life-science community with proteomic software that bridges the gap between information gathering and knowledge generation. GeneBio focuses on protein identification and characterization as well as proteome imaging, offering clients and partners a high degree of specialization.
