Sysmex Europe SE (Hamburg, Germany) and Cytek Biosciences (Fremont, CA, USA) are partnering across more than a dozen European countries to expand access to advanced clinical flow cytometry.

The collaboration combines Sysmex’s clinical portfolio, including the XF-1600 flow cytometer for routine testing and the PS-10 automated sample preparation system, with Cytek’s Northern Lights-CLC spectral flow cytometer. Together, the offering is designed to streamline workflows and support multicolor applications used in leukemia, lymphoma, and measurable residual disease assessment in specialized clinical settings.

At the core of the advanced analysis component is Cytek’s Full Spectrum Profiling technology, which leverages the entire emission spectrum of fluorescent signals to enable higher multiplexing with precision and sensitivity. By integrating automated sample preparation with routine cytometry and spectral detection, the combined workflow is designed to improve efficiency and standardization from pre-analytical steps through complex panel readouts.

The companies indicate that the complementary portfolio aims to deliver a cohesive solution for clinical flow laboratories seeking to increase throughput while addressing increasingly sophisticated diagnostic requirements. The approach is intended to help laboratories optimize resource use and maintain consistency across assay components. The collaboration underscores growing demand for integrated systems that can handle routine workloads and advanced spectral applications within the same standardized workflow.

“By combining our expertise in laboratory automation and routine flow cytometry with Cytek's leadership in spectral flow cytometry, we can now offer a unique end-to-end solution for clinical flow laboratories. This gives laboratories the advantage of a streamlined workflow, from automated sample preparation and routine testing to advanced spectral analysis, helping them meet growing diagnostic demands with greater efficiency and consistency,” said Alain Baverel, CEO of Sysmex Europe SE.

“This collaboration brings together two leaders with a shared commitment to advancing clinical diagnostics. Cytek has transformed flow cytometry through spectral technology, and by working with Sysmex, we can extend the reach of these capabilities within clinical laboratories. Together, we're providing a comprehensive solution that helps laboratories streamline workflows while supporting increasingly complex clinical applications,” said Wenbin Jiang, Ph.D., CEO of Cytek Biosciences.
