Urine sediment analysis is very sensitive to inhomogeneous particle distribution in the sample: some urine sediment particles subside quickly and hence, proper mixing is crucial to obtain reliable results. 77 Elektronika has implemented sample level adaptive mixing procedure into its fully automated UriSed technology instruments, the UriSed 2 and UriSed 3 PRO. During sample mixing some urine is aspirated from the test tube and pushed back again. This “sip and spit” mixing is repeated to make sure that all particles are homogenized. This standardized method provides consistent results quickly and effectively.
