Unilabs Expands Digital Pathology Across European Network with Proscia Platform
Posted on 16 Sep 2026
As precision medicine expands, digital pathology platforms must connect teams, sites, diagnostic data, and artificial intelligence to accelerate routine diagnosis. Sharing expertise across laboratory networks can reduce bottlenecks and broaden access to emerging image‑based tests. Supporting this approach, a new deployment enables routine digital pathology case review across multiple European countries in a single environment, with further rollouts expected this year.
On September 14, 2026, Proscia (Philadelphia, PA, USA) announced that Unilabs (Geneva, Switzerland) is leveraging the Concentriq platform to advance digital pathology across its network. Multiple Unilabs countries are already using Concentriq AP‑Dx for routine case review, with additional countries expected to deploy the platform before year‑end. The initiative focuses on unifying operations in one enterprise environment to support primary diagnosis and streamline collaboration.

Unilabs’ pathology network comprises more than 350 experts and 400 laboratory technicians across 12 countries and analyzes 9 million sections annually. Concentriq brings together these teams, laboratory sites, diagnostic data, and artificial intelligence capabilities, giving hospitals and healthcare institutions access to the broader Unilabs network rather than confining expertise to a single location. Pathologists also gain seamless interoperability to access their artificial intelligence applications.
With this digital foundation, Unilabs is shaping pathology’s growing role in precision medicine. As artificial intelligence progresses toward advanced tests, including image‑based companion diagnostics, the network can incorporate these approaches into practice by drawing on its enterprise platform and Proscia’s expertise.
“Behind every test is a person with a story of uncertainty, courage, and hope. It is our responsibility to turn that uncertainty into clarity to determine the best course of treatment. Proscia is enabling us to amplify the collective expertise of our network to unlock new levels of care, shape the future of precision medicine, and make meaningful impacts to patients,” said Badhri Srinivasan, Group CEO of Unilabs.
“Unilabs has long been one of the most trusted diagnostics providers in Europe through decades of clinical and scientific leadership. These same values are now guiding how Unilabs is evolving pathology and advancing precision medicine across its network. With Proscia, it is establishing a blueprint for the future, which laboratories around the world will follow,” said David West, CEO of Proscia.
