Roche (Basel, Switzerland) is participating in the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM) 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo, taking place July 28–30 in Anaheim, California. At booth 2901, the company is showcasing integrated diagnostic solutions designed to automate laboratory workflows, expand access to high-precision testing, and help laboratories address staffing and operational challenges.

Under the theme “Transforming Healthcare, Together,” Roche is presenting innovations spanning core and molecular laboratories, pathology, point-of-care testing, and digital solutions. Interactive demonstrations focus on neurology, oncology, and cardiometabolic health while illustrating how automation and connected technologies can reduce manual processes and support clinical decision-making.

A central feature of Roche’s participation is the first live, in-booth unveiling of the cobas Mass Spec solution. Combining the cobas i 601 analyzer with Ionify reagents, the system automates clinical mass spectrometry from sample preparation through result interpretation, with the aim of bringing complex testing into routine core laboratory workflows.

The company’s core laboratory portfolio also includes the cobas connection modules Vertical, an automated track system that uses elevators and overhead modules for space-efficient sample routing. Roche is additionally presenting the compact cobas pure integrated solution for clinical chemistry, immunochemistry, and electrolyte testing, as well as the cobas pro integrated solutions for mid- to high-volume laboratories and the cobas mobile solution for remote instrument monitoring and control.

In molecular diagnostics, Roche is featuring the AXELIOS 1 next-generation sequencing platform, powered by sequencing by expansion technology. The research-use-only system is designed to shorten sequencing workflows from days to hours. Other featured molecular laboratory technologies include the updated cobas 6800/8800 systems, the cobas prime pre-analytical system, the compact cobas 5800 PCR platform, and the cobas eplex system for rapid syndromic infectious disease testing.

Roche is also demonstrating how automation, cloud-based workflow visibility, and artificial intelligence can help pathology laboratories reduce manual touchpoints. The VENTANA DP 600 slide scanner is being presented alongside navify Digital Pathology software to show how digital viewing and laboratory information system connectivity can streamline workflows. The BenchMark ULTRA PLUS system provides automated staining for immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization applications.

The company’s point-of-care showcase includes the cobas liat system, which uses PCR technology to deliver results for respiratory pathogens and sexually transmitted infections in 20 minutes or less. Roche is also presenting the cobas Urisys 1100 urine analyzer, the cobas pulse professional blood glucose system, and the portable CoaguChek XS Plus system for PT/INR testing and anticoagulation monitoring.

In neurology, Roche is highlighting its Elecsys Phospho-Tau (181P) blood-based biomarker test. The FDA-cleared assay is intended for use in adults aged 55 and older with signs or symptoms of cognitive decline to help rule out amyloid pathology associated with Alzheimer’s disease, including in primary care settings.

Visitors can additionally explore the navify Digital Solutions portfolio, including navify Lab Operations, navify Analytics, navify Quality Suite, and navify POC Operations. These platforms are designed to convert laboratory data into actionable information through proactive issue detection, workload forecasting, and operational visibility across centralized and point-of-care environments. Roche is also previewing upcoming inventory management and clinical algorithm solutions intended to integrate with hospital electronic medical records.

"The adversities we face extend far beyond individual laboratories: they span our entire healthcare ecosystem. Overcoming these systemic challenges requires more than standalone technologies; it demands connected solutions that drive radical efficiencies and swiftly bring high-medical-value diagnostics directly to the patients who need them most," said Antonio Vergara, Incoming Chief Commercial Officer of Roche Diagnostics U.S.

"Our ADLM 2026 theme, Transforming Healthcare, Together, reflects our commitment to partnering with laboratory leaders at every step of their journey. Through automation, integrated solutions and award-winning service, we’re helping laboratories improve efficiency while supporting confident clinical decisions," added Vergara.
