QuidelOrtho Corporation (San Diego, CA, USA) is demonstrating its advanced diagnostic laboratory solutions and participating in a featured ADLM session on how Six Sigma insights can improve lab performance.

At ADLM 2025, QuidelOrtho is demonstrating how its flexible and reliable solutions can deliver quality diagnostic results across the entire healthcare continuum – from home to hospital, lab to clinic. QuidelOrtho is highlighting its VITROS Automation Solutions, which, combined with VITROS chemistry and immunoassay systems, can deliver high-quality results faster than VITROS systems alone. QuidelOrtho is also showcasing the VITROS XT 7600 Integrated system, which offers a full clinical chemistry and immunoassay menu in one easy-to-use system that delivers industry-leading uptime. Built-in technologies improve efficiency and quality, allowing for scalable automation solutions that streamline laboratory workflow. Additionally, QuidelOrtho is highlighting the VITROS XT 3400 system, which is powered by intelligent technologies and digital imaging technology to help labs meet routine testing needs and deliver proven high-quality results and system reliability in a small footprint.

Also featuring at this year’s ADLM is the Ortho Vision Max Swift automated immunohematology system, which can automate more than 99% of blood typing and antibody screening, without compromising turnaround time. Alongside, QuidelOrtho is featuring the Sofia 2 fluorescent immunoassay analyzer, built around the company’s proprietary fluorescence technology detection with an ultraviolet LED energy source. An optical sensor inside Sofia quickly scans and reliably collects hundreds of data points to generate actionable test results for the disease targets labs are seeking. QuidelOrtho is also highlighting its easy-to-use Quidel Triage system that provides the reliable diagnostic answers needed to make rapid, cost-effective treatment decisions at the point-of-care. With its comprehensive menu, the Quidel Triage system delivers lab-quality results at point-of-care speed.

Additionally, in a featured session at the ADLM meeting, QuidelOrtho and a panel of experts will be sharing how the company’s Six Sigma tools and real lab data can drive quality outcomes. For over 35 years, Six Sigma methodology and strategies have been used by businesses to improve manufacturing and operational quality and minimize variability. Sigma metrics have been adapted for the clinical laboratory by incorporating observed accuracy, precision, and total error allowed (TEa). Sigma metrics offer a valuable approach to quantifying quality. A higher sigma value corresponds to greater accuracy and precision in the measurements of processes being evaluated.
