Orlando to Host AACC Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting & Clinical Laboratory Exposition of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) will be held July 28-August 1, 2002, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL (USA). This gathering provides laboratorians with the opportunity to keep abreast of the latest developments in the field of laboratory science and to view the newest products available for clinical laboratories. The 2001 meeting attracted more than 17,000 participants and included visitors from over 50 countries.

This year, the program will feature more than 175 educational sessions on a broad variety of subjects, including five plenary sessions, more than 30 edutraks, 82 roundtables, and 64 workshops. The 2002 Hot Topics, presented by leading experts, are Cardiovascular and Cardiac Disease; Pharmacogenomics, Proteomics, and Oncogenomics; Lab Information that Makes a Difference; Point-of-Care Testing; and Getting the Right Information to the Right Place at the Right Time.
