ClearNote Health to Present Pancreatic Cancer Blood Test Data at ASCO 2026

Pancreatic cancer is among the most lethal malignancies and is often detected too late for curative intervention. Individuals at elevated risk include those with new-onset type 2 diabetes, a family history of pancreatic cancer, or a genetic predisposition. A next‑generation, multimodal blood test now reports multi‑cohort validation results supporting earlier detection in these high‑risk groups.

ClearNote Health’s Avantect Pancreatic Cancer Test will be featured at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting in Chicago on May 29–June 2. The company’s featured poster, “Multi-cohort validation of a multi-analyte liquid biopsy test for early-stage pancreatic cancer detection” (Abstract/Poster 4139/122), will be presented in the Gastrointestinal Cancer session, Hall A – Posters and Exhibits, on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

Avantect is a blood test intended for individuals with known genetic predisposition or a family history of pancreatic cancer, and for adults 50 years or older newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. The test uses a multimodal model that integrates epigenomic, fragmentomic, and genotyping signals with glycan‑specific measures. By evaluating multiple cancer‑associated signals together, the approach is designed to provide context for care discussions in populations with elevated risk. The platform is positioned as next‑generation within the company’s liquid biopsy development efforts.

Results to be presented include an independent validation cohort of 1,445 individuals with multiple risk factors. In this cohort, Avantect achieved 82.6% overall sensitivity, 76.8% sensitivity for early‑stage (Stage I–II) disease, and 97.5% specificity. Two additional validation cohorts totaling 338 individuals—enriched for new‑onset type 2 diabetes—showed consistently robust performance. Avantect is being used in the Surveillance of pAncreatic health aFter diabEtes Diagnosis (SAFE‑D) study led by the U.K. National Health Service and is being incorporated into the international Pancreatic Cancer Early Detection (PRECEDE) Consortium.

“Pancreatic cancer remains one of the most lethal malignancies because it is often diagnosed too late for curative intervention,” said Jeffrey Venstrom, MD, Chief Medical Officer at ClearNote Health. “We are excited to share new validation data at ASCO demonstrating the strong performance of our Avantect Pancreatic Cancer Test among individuals with elevated risk. This test complements existing diagnostic and risk assessment strategies and provides clinically actionable insights when earlier detection can make the greatest difference.”
