Seegene Showcases Real-Time PCR Data Analytics Platform at ESCMID
Posted on 21 Apr 2026
Seegene introduced STAgora, a real-time data analytics platform built on aggregated statistical testing data, at ESCMID Global 2026 in Munich, where it also presented an enhanced model of its automated PCR workflow concept CURECA. The company’s standalone booth featured an interactive touchscreen “STAgora Experience Zone” and a CURECA station illustrating next-generation automated molecular workflows, drawing interest from healthcare professionals, laboratory specialists, academic researchers, and industry stakeholders.
STAgora is designed to connect PCR testing data generated around the world in real time and present aggregated statistics that clarify infectious disease trends. Demonstrations at Seegene's booth showcased dashboards comparing single‑target with syndromic PCR outputs, regional infection trends over time, pathogen‑specific positivity rates, and co‑infection patterns. Attendees also viewed how aggregated test results can be analyzed alongside regional epidemiologic indicators to support broader surveillance insights. Also showcased at the event was the enhanced CURECA model, featuring a modular, end-to-end automation architecture that integrates sample preprocessing, nucleic acid extraction, amplification, and result processing.
Visitors to Seegene's booth explored the automated PCR workflow at the CURECA station and engaged in discussions about its potential applications, while the STAgora station offered live simulations of the platform, highlighting its intuitive interface and aggregated data visualization capabilities. Together, these concepts underscore Seegene’s “From Numbers to Insights” theme, illustrating how automated testing infrastructure and real-time data analytics can be integrated to support a deeper understanding of population-level and public health trends.
During the congress, Seegene engaged with global partners and leading laboratories to discuss adoption and validation pathways for STAgora and CURECA, and hosted dedicated sessions for healthcare and laboratory professionals. The company stated that it plans to expand collaboration with clinical, academic, and research partners to support implementation and validation of its data-driven diagnostics platform, with the goal of accelerating real-world adoption across global healthcare settings.
“STAgora is designed to connect PCR testing data generated around the world in real time and provide a clearer view of infectious disease trends based on aggregated statistics,” said Young Seag Baeg, New Business Officer at Seegene. "We are continuing to explore how real-time data analytics, combined with automated testing infrastructure, can help laboratories better understand infection patterns and expand the practical use of aggregated testing data."
