LabVantage to Acquire LIMS Business

LabVantage (Bridgewater, NJ, U.S.A), will acquire Life Technologies' SQL*laboratory information management system (LIMS) thus providing its thin-client LIMS, Sapphire, to professionals worldwide.

The SQL*LIMS business from Applied Biosystems, a part of Life Technologies, is an enterprise LIMS provider that manages the laboratory process lifecycle. Sapphire is a zero-footprint, thin-client laboratory information management suite, tailored to manage organizations' critical laboratory information across its worldwide operations to optimize productivity and more effectively share knowledge.
