According to a new agreement, SciGene (Sunnyvale, CA, USA) has given ScienceWerke (Singapore) exclusive rights to market and support SciGene's microarray products in Singapore and Malaysia.

SciGene produces instruments using process control, automation, and protocol optimization to reduce microarray data errors, enabling users to quickly obtain reliable results. ScienceWerke focuses on novel and emerging technologies in the genomics and proteomics market segments.

Under the agreement, ScienceWerke will be supplying its customers in Singapore and Malaysia with SciGene's newest products for the microarray laboratory. These will include the Hybex microarray incubation system and the Little Dipper microarray processor. ScienceWerke envisages immediate acceptance of the BriteSpot microarray workstation by the microarray community there.

The president of SciGene, Dr. Jim Stanchfield, said that his company is fortunate to have found ScienceWerke, "A unique company that really understand the needs of the microarray laboratory, which can give high-quality technical support in a growing market.”
