New Automated Hemostasis Systems Become Available Across US Laboratories

A new pair of automated analyzers now brings multiple hemostasis capabilities onto a compact, automation-ready platform for U.S. clinical laboratories.

Siemens Healthineers’ CN-3000 and CN-6000 automated hemostasis analyzers for mid- and high‑volume laboratories are now available for patient testing in the United States. The systems consolidate clotting, chromogenic, immunoassay, and platelet aggregation methodologies on a single platform that is up to 60% smaller than other instruments on the market. A broad menu of routine and specialty assays is designed to support high testing volumes and enable consolidation.

The analyzers connect to track-based laboratory automation and integrate with Atellica Data Manager to centralize instrument oversight, access testing analytics, and standardize operations across multiple sites. Automated features include predictive reagent management, automated repeat and reflex testing, advanced pre‑analytical sample assessment, and onboard guidance to assist staff in identifying and resolving issues. Large onboard reagent and consumable capacity supports up to 13 hours of walkaway time to increase runtime with minimal intervention.

For health systems operating several laboratories, the CN-3000 and CN-6000 use common reagents, consumables, workflows, and user interfaces to help standardize testing and maintain consistency across care networks. The systems are also designed to correlate results with other Siemens Healthineers hemostasis platforms as testing needs evolve. Platelet aggregation is Research Use Only (RUO) and not for use in diagnostic procedures.
