Vibration free bench-top chilling incubators have a temperature range of 4.0 °C to 70.0 °C.

The Peltier-based incubators have no compressors or chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and are ideal for doing protein crystallizations. Other applications include storing oocytes, enzyme reactions, and deactivations, incubating marine samples below room temperature, hybridizations, ligations, and general lab incubations.

There are four models. Two are fully programmable and two have simple digital controls. Chamber sizes are 27.5 L and 55.0 L. They feature proportional-integral-derivative (PID) temperature control, digital display, accuracy to 0.1 °C, and RS232 I/O port for remote control and data collection.

The 27.5 L units have chamber sizes of 30.48 cm high by 25.4 cm deep by 35.56 cm wide and come with two stainless steel racks with room for two additional racks. The 55.0 L units have chambers of 60.96 cm high by 25.4 cm deep x 35.56 cm wide and come with four stainless steel racks with room for two additional racks.

The EchoTherm vibration free bench-top chilling incubators were introduced by Torrey Pines Scientific (Carlsbad, CA, USA). They have a digital timer in hours, minutes, and seconds with user settable auto-off, temperature ramping on programmable models, and audible alarms. As with all Torrey Pines Scientific products, they are made in the USA.

The incubators are all underwriters' laboratories (UL), CSA, and CE or equivalent agency certified and available in voltages for use anywhere in the world.
