New Catalog Highlights Ultrapure Inorganic Reagents

Biotech researchers in need of inorganic reagents can now refer to an enlarged portfolio of high-purity inorganic compounds with ultralow levels of metal contaminants.

A new catalog of inorganic products that is 50% larger than the previous one has been released by Acros Organics (Geel, Belgium), a subsidiary of Thermo Fisher Scientific (Milford, MA, USA).

The catalog features extremely pure inorganic reagents that have trace-metal content of less than 100 ppm with some as low as 1 ppm. These reagents may be used with confidence in high-technology applications such as petroleum refining, microelectronics, energy and space technology, and communications. Specific applications include reaction catalysis and crystal growth as well as the manufacture of photovoltaic materials, optical fibers, and lasers.
