Carl Zeiss MicroImaging's (Jena, Germany) LSM 780 confocal laser scanning microscope has been awarded the Research & Development 100 Award for 2011. The annual award is given to the most technologically significant products introduced into the market in a variety of sectors, including biomedical, chemistry, and physics.
