A full range of integrated scientific desktop applications has been developed to aid individual chemists and biologists at their desktops, while also providing a shared solution benefiting scientists across an institution.

"Our goal with every new ChemBioOffice release is to continue to enhance the CambridgeSoft desktop software scientists depend on in their research,” said Michael G. Tomasic, president and CEO of Cambridge Soft (Cambridge, MA, USA). "By maintaining the familiar look and feel, while at the same time adding powerful functionality, ChemBioOffice 2010 continues to improve the communication, efficiency, and productivity across organizations and in a wide range of scientific settings.”

ChemBioOffice 2010's three core applications--ChemBioDraw, ChemBio3D, and ChemBioFinder with ChemBioViz--remain at the basis of the ChemBioOffice Ultra 2010 suite. New additions include Statistica from StatSoft for more in-depth statistical analysis of scientific data. Many improvements have been made to core chemistry features such as an algorithm for converting English chemical names into chemical structure diagrams (Name=Struct), and the Sequence tool. BioDraw features such as the new BioDraw Pathway Templates enable chemists and biologists to share a single document format for communications. Technical enhancements include rotation about arbitrary centers, ChemScript integration, and support for full RGB Color.

ChemBio3D adds many new modeling and three-dimensional 3D structure analysis features such as Stochastic Conformational analysis, multipole methods for electrostatic calculations and multiprocessor support. ChemBioFinder with ChemBioViz now features Clustering analysis along with integration to Statistica from StatSoft for more in-depth statistical analysis of scientific data.

Other significant products in the collection include desktop versions of CambridgeSoft's Enterprise applications E-Notebook, BioAssay, Inventory, and access to a number of important online databases such as ChemACX (for up-to-date product information from over 500 chemical vendors) and the ChemIndex compound reference database. The suite also includes enhanced visualization and analysis of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) data.

CambridgeSoft develops and markets life science enterprise solutions for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical companies, and academic research organizations. Software products include enterprise, workgroup and desktop, versions of Chem & Bio Office, including Chem & Bio Draw and E-Notebook, with knowledge management, chemical and biologic informatics, and scientific database solutions.
