Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (Waltham, MA, USA) introduced the Infinity line of hazard containment hoods at the recent PITCON 2009 conference in Chicago, (IL, USA) March 9-12, 2009. These hoods are manufactured with low-voltage LED lighting, minimal exhaust static pressure, and variable air volume (VAV) compatibility to minimize exhaust air when the sash is down. A full-height slanted front viewing area and side viewing panels enable simple and easy sample monitoring, while a flush sill enhances safety by eliminating possible glassware tripping hazards. Infinity hoods are available with Thermo Fisher's unique GreenFumeHood technology utilizing Neutrodine filters in place of traditional carbon filters to eliminate emissions.

Thermo Scientific offers its more than 350,000 customers a complete range of high-end analytical instruments as well as laboratory equipment, software, services, consumables, and reagents to enable integrated laboratory workflow solutions.
