Hematology services are increasingly delivered across distributed care settings, where limited staffing and complex workflows can extend turnaround times. Advanced morphology review still often depends on centralized infrastructure and specialized expertise, creating barriers to timely assessment at the point of need. A new system addresses these challenges by combining seven-part differential hematology, biochemistry, immunoassay, and AI-driven morphology in a single platform designed for decentralized use.

Ozelle’s EHBT-50 Mini Lab Multi-Functional Analyzer received the Gold Award at the German Innovation Award on May 15, 2026, in Berlin. Recognized in the Medical Technologies category, the platform is designed for decentralized clinical settings and addresses growing demand for faster, more accessible diagnostics beyond centralized laboratories. The program honors innovations that advance products and technologies through meaningful user value, engineering excellence, and practical impact.

The EHBT-50 Mini Lab combines seven-part differential hematology with biochemistry, immunoassay, and artificial intelligence (AI)-powered morphology analysis on an integrated platform. Its AI × CBM (complete blood morphology) technology supports standardized morphology analysis and rapid identification of abnormal cells. By pairing AI-assisted interpretation with consistent cellular imaging, the system aims to lessen dependence on highly specialized manual review while improving consistency across different clinical environments.

For everyday operation, the analyzer features a maintenance-free architecture, sealed all-in-one cartridges, and room-temperature reagents. One-click testing is designed to simplify workflows and reduce operational complexity in routine use. The platform also supports flexible testing panels for applications including infection assessment, diabetes management, and thyroid testing, enabling broader diagnostic coverage without multiple standalone analyzers.

The approach centers on simplifying hematology and associated testing workflows while maintaining laboratory-level analytical capability in routine clinical practice. The recognition highlights an industry focus on diagnostic systems that can operate reliably across real-world settings. Founded in Silicon Valley in 2014 and operating globally from Frankfurt, Ozelle develops AI- and Internet of Things (IoT)-powered diagnostic systems for medical and veterinary applications worldwide.
